Stained photos

Stanied

Stained

When looking at an everyday car, you might just see four wheels and metal. You think of a car as a means of transportation and nothing more.  I thought the same things when I first looked at an automobile.  But when looking deeper into the detail, and paint a canvas appears. A whole new world of cars comes to life.
I got this original idea from our abstract assignment. I was having a hard time thinking of what could fall under the category of abstract. When walking around my local blocks I started to notice that the faded paint on cars made designs, along with the rust. Older cars that have seen more ware and tear from Mother Nature and humans tend to work better for this project.
My goal during this project was to make automobiles look like they had someone paint on them or stained the original paint. To successfully do this I had to look at cars for a period of time and take shots from different angles, and zoom in to where the car aspect seemed to disappear. My main goal was to represent cars more than just cars, as almost a moving artwork. A piece or moving art that seems to go undetected by the everyday glance.
